Marketing

Framing Effect

It's not what you say, but how you say it

People decide on options based on whether the options are presented with positive or negative connotations. Experiment: "Treatment A saves 200 lives" vs "Treatment B has a 33% chance of saving everyone". They are the same, but A feels safer (Gain frame). Marketing: "95% Lean" sells better than "5% Fat".
